LAST DAY To Name That Auditorium! Our auditorium renovation is nearing completion, and it is time to start thinking about naming this beautiful venue. While we have a generous naming sponsor, they hope that our students have ownership of the project and select the name. So we are calling on our KM Community to start the process by submitting your naming suggestions. The submission process will close on November 20th. Then, our team will narrow the options to a group of preferred names for students to vote on. The final name will be unveiled at our grand opening early next year. IMPORTANT MESSAGE For Morning Drivers - Drive Safely and Slowly! OR MORNING DRIVERS – DRIVE SAFELY AND SLOWLY!!! Snow is in the forecast for tomorrow morning which may make stopping hazardous. Take particular care on side roads, hills, and roundabouts. Do not drive too fast for the conditions. Use your headlights. Don’t use cruise control as you need to maintain control of acceleration and deceleration at all times. Remember 4-wheel drive doesn’t work on ice! Most importantly, give yourself extra time to drive to and from school safely, and go slowly, avoiding dramatic starts, stops, or turns!

TERNS NAMED HEAD BOYS SOCCER COACH!!! Robert “Bob” Terns brings more than ten years as an educator, working for two years as a 6th-grade SWD Teacher at Kettle Moraine Middle School. He has also dedicated eight years to coaching soccer, currently serving as a Varsity Assistant Coach for the KM girls Program. "As interim boys head coach at the end of last season, Bob showed us very quickly that students gravitate toward him and that he understands the game at a high level. Bob's has a unique ability to listen to our athletes and give them constructive feedback in a way that the players understand. With Bob leading, I'm very excited to see our program's skills and culture grow," said Ryan Tomczyk. Bob is eager to embrace his new role within the Kettle Moraine Soccer family and looks forward to contributing to the program's continued success.

Kettle Moraine School for Arts and Performance presents “Into the Woods” The Brothers Grimm hit the stage with an epic fairytale about wishes, family and the choices we make. The story follows a Baker and his wife, who wish to have a child; Cinderella, who wishes to attend the King's Festival; and Jack, who wishes his cow would give milk. When the Baker and his wife learn that they cannot have a child because of a Witch's curse, the two set off on a journey to break the curse. Everyone's wish is granted, but the consequences of their actions return to haunt them later with disastrous results. GIRLS SWIM STATE RESULTS!!! State qualifiers Rowan Rossi-Weida, Katie Bell, Chloe Bell, Sara Wiedoff, and Adrienne Prymas represented KM with incredible determination and spirit! The 400 freestyle relay team set a new SCHOOL RECORD with a time of 3:37.04! Congratulations to Rowan, Katie, Chloe, and Sara for this historic achievement, which earned them a tie for 12th place in the state. Individual achievements include: Sara Wiedoff 10th place 200 freestyle and 15th 500 freestyle. Rowan Rossi-Weida 22nd 200 freestyle and 18th 100 freestyle. Our 200 freestyle relay team of Rowan, Adrienne, Katie, and Sara claimed 15th place overall and is about a half second away from another school record.

GIRLS SWIM HEADED TO STATE!!! A number of individuals have qualified for the WIAA Girls Swim State Meet on Saturday, November 16th at Waukesha South: 200 Freestyle: Sara Wiedoff & Rowan Rossi-Weida, 100 Freestyle: Rowan Rossi-Weida, 500 Freestyle: Sara Wiedoff, 200 Freestyle Relay: Rowan Rossi-Weida, Adrienne Prymas, Katie Bell, Sara Wiedoff, 400 Freestyle Relay: Rowan Rossi-Weida, Katie Bell, Chloe Bell, Sara Wiedoff. Quinn Lodes took 2nd at Sectionals for diving, narrowly missing qualifying, but earning a PR and landing the title of #4 freshman in the state. The Division 1 diving competition is scheduled to start at 9:30 a.m. Saturday with the swimming events to begin at 2:30 p.m. Tickets are $9 plus online fees for adults and students. WELL DONE DANCE TEAM! The dance team did great at their first competition of the season on November 9th! D2 Pom - 2nd Place D1 Hip Hop - 3rd Place Ava Schlueter’s Solo got 7th place! Natalie Rhodes Solo got 8th place! Natalie Rhodes and Ava Schlueter’s Duet got 3rd place! Madison Green, Sophia Wergin, and Delilah Pipp’s Trio got 1st place! KMHS SIGNING DAY!!! We had our first signing day today, celebrating six senior athletes who have committed to colleges or universities for next year. Congratulations to Jake Ruehl - Midland University, Bethany Provan - Wisconsin Lutheran, Tate Robillard - UW Platteville, Sylvia Marlock - Winona State, Casey Navarro - Illinois College, and Isabella Mautz - Marquette University.

BREAKFAST WITH SANTA SATURDAY, DEC. 7TH FROM 8:30 to 1 PM @KMHS!!!! The pancake breakfast will be held in the cafeteria from 8:30-11:30am and tickets can be purchased at https://www.classmunity.com/kmsd/view-fundraiser.php?fundraiser_id=2633 or with the QR code. Cost for breakfast is $8 for kids under 10 and $12 for adults. The craft fair is free and runs from 8:30am-1pm with about 50 crafters participating. This is a great opportunity to get unique, quality, homemade gifts and decorations for the holiday season! KMSD music groups will playing holiday music throughout the morning and the KMHS band plans activities for kids. Santa and his elves will also be there for photos! KMHS HOOPS TO PARTICIPATE IN MILWAUKEE BUCKS DEER DISTRICT EVENT!!! The Milwaukee Bucks & WisSports.net announced an inaugural Deer District Prep Showcase event for February 8th at Fiserv Forum. The event will feature ten of the state's top teams, and many of the state's best players, participating in what is shaping up to be a premier showcase of talent. The schedule is as follows: 10 am – Kohler vs. Lake Mills, 12 pm – Hortonville vs. Oconomowoc, 2 pm – Racine Park vs. Milwaukee Juneau, 4 pm – Stevens Point vs. Sun Prairie East, 6 pm – Kettle Moraine vs. Nicolet. Participating schools get access to a special ticket offer of $12 per ticket at https://am.ticketmaster.com/bucks/buy/Deer_District_Prep_Showcase_Groups?promocode=S0VUVExFTU9SQUlORQ==. The goal is for each school to sell a minimum of 500 tickets. Tickets gain access to games for the entire day. However, no re-entry will be allowed. JOIN KM TRAP/CLAYS TEAM!!!! Kettle Moraine Trap and Sporting Clays season is gearing up for 2025. We are going to host two registration/open house events in the High School Library. One on Thursday December 5th from 5-7pm and a second Monday December 9th from 5-7 pm. These events are for KM Students grades 6-12. KMHS COLLABORATES WITH COLLEGE STUDENTS!!! Our KMHS Orchestra students recently had an incredible opportunity to collaborate with students and faculty from UW-Eau Claire! They performed some of their concert repertoire and joined our KM orchestras for an inspiring clinic led by Dr. Nobuyoshi Yasuda. It was an especially meaningful experience for our own orchestra teacher, Ms. Sternberg, a UW-Eau Claire alum, who was thrilled to welcome her former professor to work with her students. We are so grateful to UW-Eau Claire for sharing their time and talent with us!
