KM GLOBAL SPRING SHOWCASE IS TONIGHT MAY 29TH!!!! Join us for this wonderful end-of-year open-house event. Students will present their capstone projects at Kettle Moraine High School from 5:30-7:30pm. Ask questions and help to prepare these young leaders and entrepreneurs for future success.

ART AND ICE CREAM FUNDRAISER!!! Art Show & Ice Cream Social | KMHS | 5.20.24 | 5-7 pm! This KM Global Capstone event will display artwork from students all over the district. Not only will student art be displayed, but there will also be an ice cream social in the cafeteria where people can purchase Culver's custard. It is free to get in, but donations are greatly appreciated. The funds raised will be donated to Hands of Hope, an organization that works to provide education, healthcare, and clean water to people in Zambia, Africa. CONTEMPORARY DANCE CAPSTONE FUNDRAISER!!! The show will be held in the KMHS Auditorium on Friday, May 17th at 6 pm. Cost $12 per ticket. Ella Mathison of KM Global is using her senior capstone to combine her passion for dance with a desire to help others. She has produced a contemporary dance show called "The Beauty of Mistakes." This production combines many of Ella's beliefs and passions into the pieces you will see, and she is excited to be able to fundraise for LifeStriders in Waukesha. KM GLOBAL STUDENT RAISES MONEY FOR UKRAINE!!
Jack Curty, a competitive fencer at Ataba Fencing Club and KM Global senior, would like to invite you to his Senior Capstone, Fencing for Ukraine. At KM Global, each senior is required to conduct a capstone project which is a student-led community service project that aims to raise money for either a local or global purpose. For Jack's capstone, he decided to use his love of fencing to support the millions of families displaced by the war in Ukraine. All proceeds will go to the charity organization CARE, which sends support directly into Ukraine and neighboring countries in the form of food, medical supplies, humanitarian aid packages and more.


GLOBAL ARTISAN CRAFT FAIR!!! KM Global will be hosting an artisan craft fair at Kettle Moraine High School on Saturday, May 18th! This capstone project is a cornerstone of Global's learning. Students get the opportunity to build a community event to benefit a local organization. 100% of the proceeds from this event (from vendor fees, donations, food truck partnerships, etc.) will be donated to our friends at the Hunger Task Force. HOST FAMILIES NEEDED!!! Several foreign exchange students need host families for the 24/25 school year at KMHS. We have two girls, Freiya, 15, from Germany and Karen, 16, from Chile. We also have Malte 15, a boy from Germany. Their families pay all expenses and provide their medical insurance. They speak English and want to learn about America. SAVE THE DATE FOR HONK – A Musical Tale of "The Ugly Duckling!" Since it first hatched in 1993, Stiles & Drewe's musical, Honk!, has winged its way around the world in over 8,000 productions and in many different languages. Winner of multiple awards, including the 2000 Olivier Award for Best Musical, this heartwarming celebration of being different is sure to delight audiences of all ages with its sparkling wit and memorable score. Ugly looks quite a bit different from his darling duckling brothers and sisters. The other animals on the farm are quick to notice and point this out, despite his mother's protective flapping. Feeling rather foul about himself, the little fowl finds himself on an adventure of self-discovery, all the while unknowingly outwitting a very hungry Cat. Along the way, Ugly meets a whole flock of unique characters and finds out that being different is not a bad thing to be. With its bouncing score and universal story, this touching musical with plenty of heart will captivate audiences of all ages.

KM SHOWCASE DRAWS LARGE CROWD!! We were thrilled when more than 100 families took time to attend the KM Showcase this year. We will continue to learn from the experience and expand this annual event! Thank you to the presenters for providing over 50 exhibits from all of our KM schools, clubs, teams, and activities. The demonstrations from computer science, Makerspace, robotics, and digital design were really engaging, and the art gallery of student work was impressive. We also want to thank our community partners: Avid Jewelry, Chick-fil-A, Culver's, Dockhounds, Mama Ds, MDs, and Pizza Guy for the generous contributions to our gift bags and prize drawing. Winners were drawn and notified yesterday and we have some very happy recipients!

KM EXPLORE DELIVERS VALENTINES TO KMHS STUDENTS!!!! Explore students made over 1200 Valentines and delivered them to every student, and a lot of staff members, at the high school today. It was really cute watching them get caught up in the act of giving as they shared their creations. The KMHS students appreciated the kind gesture and enjoyed the candy treats. PROM DRESS FUNDRAISER FOR BEST BUDDIES!!!! Purchase (or donate) a slightly used dress on March 9th from 10am - 1pm at Kettle Moraine High School. FEBRUARY 15TH IS NATIONAL SRO DAY!!!! Our student resource officers, Officer Sonenberg and Officer Catania, are a huge part of our KM Family. They are also an instrumental force in maintaining school safety, culture and structure. Both have been involved in important initiatives to protect students from online predators, bullying, and harmful substances. We are so grateful for their presence in our schools! HOST A FOREIGN EXCHANGE STUDENT!!! We currently have one student who is looking to stay with an area family as part of this wonderful cultural exchange. Paola, 17, from France, is coming to KMHS in the fall and needs a host family. She loves skiing, and tennis and is good with pets. She will pay all expenses, and has medical insurance. Paola wants to know our culture and will participate in school and family activities. She speaks English and wants to practice by living among Americans.
